George P. Bloom, P.E.     

George P. Bloom serves as principal for Bloom Engineers & Associates MN, LLC and Bloom Engineers & Associates, LLC. He contributes more than thirty five years of experience as a designer, manager and mechanical engineer.  Previously, he was vice president, mechanical department manager, and director of operations at a large Minnesota based architectural engineering firm and president of a mid-size mechanical engineering firm.

His mechanical design, engineering and project management experience spans decades of successful projects. Some recent projects include modification to six coaters and paint lines at a large manufacturing facility, modifications to water heaters and high pressure steam systems for multiple public facilities, additions and modifications to multiple chilled water plants with capacities up to 10,000 ton, 8.3 MW diesel engine generator addition at the Forest City Light Plant in Iowa, a 300,000 square foot addition and remodeling at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota, remodeling Midway Hospital in St. Paul to an office complex, an Army Reserve housing facility and various training centers in the upper Midwest, numerous clean rooms and a treating oven for 3M's Cumberland, Wisconsin facility.

George attended the University of Wisconsin, Mechanical Engineering program. In the late 1960s he designed and marketed plumbing and HVAC systems for a Minneapolis contractor/supplier. Since 1970 he has worked in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for three architecture/engineering firms.
