Replace Six Paint Lines:

  • Our design includes plans and specifications for the process side of each line which includes a flow coater, recovery system, primer spray silo, finish spray silo with associated continuous conveying systems (approximately 370 feet each line), flash ovens, cure ovens, and bake ovens.
  • Associated within the process engineering, provide plans and specifications for steam, condensate return, humidification, make-up air, and exhaust air systems to maintain an environment acceptable to code.

Aero Space Manufacturer - Burnsville, Minnesota

Carbon Dioxide System, Study and Storage Tank Replacement:

  • Existing Carbon Dioxide distribution system is not providing reliable capacity in all locations.
  • Review existing CO2 distribution system and storage systems.
  • Report on system deficiencies with recommendations to mitigate the issues.
  • Remove the north existing CO2 storage tank and replace with a new 14 ton tank, new pressure builder, and new vaporizer.
  • The new tank shall be vertical and installed at the same elevation as the south tank for balanced flow.

Test Slab Freezing:

  • Provide portable concrete and asphalt slabs to be utilized for testing instruments.
  • Slabs will be tested along a 75 foot long area.
  • Design a portable refrigeration system to freeze the slabs.
  • Design parameters include:
    • Refrigeration unit and test slabs must be portable
    • Refrigeration system must be connected and disconnected without loss of fluid.
  • Provide an air cooled chiller utilizing a glycol / water solution to circulate through the slabs.  The unit package is mounted on casters connected to power with a 50' electrical cord.  The concrete and asphalt slabs are 4' x 4' mounted on pallets which are movable utilizing pallet forks.  Freezing fluid is a mixture of 50% propylene glycol and water connected to the slabs with "quick couplers".

Loading Fixture:

  • Provide a custom loading fixture to eliminate manual loading of product carriers inside two1,600°F furnaces.
  • Design parameters include:
    • Loading fixture shall be small enough to store between the two furnaces
    • Portable for use with either furnace.
  • Provide a fixture lock device at each furnace which has a maximum horizontal tolerance of 0.10" and a vertical manual adjustment of 1.50".
  • Create fabrication drawings, procure fabrication pricing, and manage fabrication and delivery of the loading fixture.

  • Provide AutoCAD plans of the manufacturing plant to enable relocation of equipment.
  • Measure existing conditions.

 

Equipment:

  • Provide AutoCAD plans of various pieces of equipment to enable relocation.

Andersen Corporation - Bayport, Minnesota

Grinder Baler:

  • Provide a collection system for transporting wood chips from a chipper overhead across an exterior driveway to discharge in a storage building.
  • Design includes installation of wood chipper, feeder design, piping with fittings modified to handle the abrasive material, and a material handling fan. 

Battery Charging Area Ventilation System:

  • Utilize exhaust system to collect gases from a battery charging area located in the open plant area. Ventilation of the area was critical because it was not an enclosed space.

 

3M Company - Maplewood, Minnesota

Design and Construction of PSM Facility:

  • A 300,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
  • Design includes building plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, process heating (glycol water, steam, and hot oil) piping, process cooling (chilled water and glycol water) piping, industrial ventilation, ovens, and associated steam systems.

Design and Construction of PEH Facility:

  • The design of this facility includes building plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, new chiller for process cooling, process steam piping, material handling, and industrial ventilation.

Design and Construct a Seal Coating Line:

  • The project involves building plumbing, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design, construction cost estimating, contracting, and construction of the facility. The project also includes process heating and cooling water piping.

Design and Install Two 850 Ton Chillers:

  • Remove two smaller chillers and replace with two new chillers and new condenser water pumps. Total chilled water system capacity is 3,200 ton.
  • Provide cost estimating, direction of design documents, contracting and contract strategy, and management of installation.
