Our Philosophy:

Each client and their project are unique. Our business model allows us to tailor the experience and talent applied to your project. We believe that the core team we build at the start of your project should stay on your project and finish your project. We have chosen to grow our company so that we can offer a core team designed to meet our client’s needs on a “project by project” basis. At Bloom Engineers, we offer “large firm experience and talent with small firm courtesy and attention”. We believe that honesty, integrity, empathy and responsibility are keys to both professional and personal success. We also believe that our word is as important as our signature and stand by both.

Our Firm:

Bloom Engineers is registered in the CCR (NAICS 541330, 541340 and 541690) and certified WBE, DBE, SBE, SDBE and ESBE. As a consulting engineering firm, Bloom Engineers & Associates, LLC has provided our services (in multiple states) for local, state and federal government projects since 2002; offering expertise in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Energy Studies and subsequent design, as well as Contract, Project and Construction Management. All Principals and staff at Bloom Engineers are experienced professionals who take an active part in every project.

We also offer Architectural, Structural, Civil and Environmental services through sub-consultant agreements to provide comprehensive service for our clients. Special note: Bloom Engineers has performed as prime on 99% of our projects since 2002.

Our Principals:

Lynne A. Bloom, President:

Lynne takes an active role in each BEA project based upon the client’s needs and objectives. Many BEA clients have relied on Lynne to organize, document (including providing AIA documents) and facilitate construction period meetings and services, insuring that Pre-Construction and Construction related project tasks are delivered by the contractor and do not get overlooked. Prior to founding Bloom Engineers & Associates in June of 2002, Lynne was a Business Owner, Project Manager, Controller and Accounting Manager for large corporations and medium size companies. Her experience spans 35 years and multiple industries including the construction Industry.

George P. Bloom, P.E., V.P. Engineering:

During his 35 year career, George P. Bloom, PE has been President of a medium size Mechanical Consulting firm, Vice-President/Mechanical Department Manager for a large consulting firm and Project Engineer for a large Architectural and Engineering firm. In addition to his experience with design of new or existing mechanical systems, George offers invaluable design knowledge and ingenuity when it comes to existing mechanical systems that have been in operation for decades and need to be either retrofitted or maintained due to budget or operational considerations.

Kevin G. Bloom, P.E., V.P. Engineering:

Kevin has over 15 years of experience, including the position of Senior Project Engineer working in Facilities and Medical Engineering. Kevin offers extensive experience related to the design of Labs and Clean-rooms.

Anthony (Tony) P. Bloom, BSME, V.P. Engineering:

Tony has specialized for the last four years in the study, design, construction, start up and commissioning of complete mechanical systems, including chilled water, steam, compressed air, HVAC, controls, plumbing, piping, code compliance and energy management for commercial, industrial, governmental and institutional facilities. Three of those four years were spent working with 3M Chiller, Boiler and Compressed Air Specialists designing projects internationally. Tony’s report, “Compressed Air Automation”, was published in the 2008 2nd Quarter 3M Energy Management Newsletter.

Our Associates:

In addition to our Principals and core staff, Bloom Engineers has available multiple talented and experienced M&E Engineers and Designers on a “project by project” basis. Our Associates have been hand picked for their extensive experience, reputation in our field and commitment to project excellence for our clients.

Our Technology:

Bloom Engineers’ standard of design includes planning and review by our Principals to assure the best quality design within the constraints established by our clients. Our staff is equipped with computer engineering design software and a full range of computer-aided drafting (CAD) capabilities utilizing AutoCAD 2011.
